Lieb Family Cellars, a winery in Mattituck, Long Island has created a wine to help contribute to the Ground Zero memorial.

While intent seems good, it’s not going over well with 9/11 victims’ families.

Though the winery will donate up to 10 percent on the wines that cost $19.11, people like Councilman Peter Vallone Jr. are wondering what’s next?

He was quoted in the Daily News report, “What’s next? A 9/11 pastrami sandwich?”

The Long Island winery is set to make $6 on every bottle of 9/11 wine sold.

It should be noted that the people working within the winery did feel the effects of the New York disaster too.  The winery’s general manager, Gary Madden, said “we lost a lot of friends on 9/11.”

Question now looms if we will see a decrease in flights to New York for people looking to visit Long Island, a popular wine destination.
