Smokers Hopes Could Go Up in Smoke

Smokers may not even be able to enjoy themselves electronically on flights soon if the Department of Transportation (DOT) has its way.

The DOT has proposed a ban on the electronic sticks during flights out of concern over health risks from the vapors.

According to the USA Today report, there is also belief the ingredients in e-cigarettes could cause passengers’ eyes and throats to get irritated.

Smoking e-cigarettes on airlines has been a federal ban since April of 2000, but the behavior continues to persist on charter flights.

E-cigarettes are also banned Amtrak trains.
