Game-plan Your Super Bowl Activities with Indy Downtown App

Be ‘Super’ Prepared for Your Indy Trip

If you are on a flight to Indianapolis this week for Super Bowl XLVI (46), there’s no mystery about what you’ll be doing at kickoff time, but if you want to find your way around town during the build-up to the game, then you might want to check out the Indy Downtown App.

The free mobile app for iPhone and Android mobile devices from Indy Downtown Inc. enables you to search for performing arts, recreation and entertainment; restaurants; shopping; sports; parking, and all sorts of other local attractions.

There’s an interactive map and the apps also can detect your location to show you interesting things to do nearby.

One of the best features of the apps is Hot Now, which details activities and events taking place during Super Bowl week, including the NFL Experience and Super Celebration Sites.

The NFL Experience is basically an NFL theme park, which will be setting up shop at the Indiana Convention Center. Among the highlights will be football clinics for kids, games and free autograph sessions.

Admission to the NFL Experience is $25 for adults and $20 for kids younger than 12.

On game day, Sunday Feb. 5, Mass. Ave. restaurants will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. for Super Sunday Warm-up.

And, the Indy Downtown app also points you to a concert by DMC of Run DMC taking place Feb. 3 at Madame Walker Theatre Center benefiting House of Restoration Africa.

You can also get updates about things going on around Indianapolis by following Indy Downtown on Twitter under the account name @IndyDT.

There are some great attractions in Indianapolis include the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Hall of Fame Museum, Mind Tripping Show, Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and Indianapolis Museum of Art. It is a city that is often overlooked by travellers, perhaps because of it’s location. This App will really help.
