JetBlue to fly into and out of Liberia

JetBlue Airways announced Wednesday plans to add four weekly nonstop flights between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Liberia, Costa Rica's Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport beginning November 17, 2011.

The additional flights are of course subject to government approval. But if the low-cost carrier does get the green light, this will mark JetBlue's second Costa Rican destination, in addition to San Jose's Juan Santamaria International Airport, which serves daily flights from Orlando International Airport.

to our growing list of destinations and giving our customers access to
the breathtaking Guanacaste beaches and natural parks," said Chad Meyerson, director of global sales for JetBlue Airways.

"Costa Rica and its people have much to offer and have been a great partner since we started flying to San Jose more than two years ago. We're happy to be able to strengthen that relationship today while expanding our footprint in Central America."
