AirTran Airways sees another strong month for passenger traffic

 
AirTran reported a strong July traffic performance

 

AirTran Airways announced Tuesday that passenger traffic was up 2.2 percent last month with most of their fleet packed throughout July.

 

The low-cost carrier reported 2 billion milers were flown in July 2010 by paying passengers, up from July 2009's 1.96 billion miles. 

 

Capacity increased by 1.9 percent and the load factor, or average occupancy, was up 0.3 percent. 

 

AirTran has enjoyed a strong 2010 with traffic continously stronger than it was one year ago for the same time period.

 

Overall traffic is up 6.7 percent for the first even months of 2010.
