While the merger between Houston-based Continental Airlines and Chicago-based United Airlines is still awaiting the approval of the government, the two companies are already rolling out a brand spanking new logo.

The carriers basically took the brand name, UNITED, and capitalized it with the Continental global mark that has represented the company for nearly 20 years.

The aircrafts will feature the UNITED logo on the fuselage and the blue-white-gold globe image on the tail.

Continental and United announced they were planning to join forces back in May. The merger is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
