Randy Pepper really liked free stuff. So much so that he snatched about $20,000 worth of jewelry and other goodies from checked bags of passengers while working as a supervisor for the federal Transportation Security Administration at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Pepper, 50, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court of Seattle Monday according to the U.S. Attorney's office. A fellow employee reported Pepper back in July 2009 after noticing he was opening bags and taking out items.

Surveillance cameras caught the sticky fingered felon in the act and he was immediately fired. Pepper had also pawned certain items too. Some of the stolen times prosecutors said included gold diamond rings and earrings. 

If convicted, Pepper could be slapped with a hefty fine of $250,000 and up to 10 years behind bars.  He is set to be sentenced in November.
