Treat your palate with a trip to Las Vegas’ Wicked Spoon.
Everyone knows that Vegas is famous for its buffets; in fact, many claim that Vegas actually originated the all-you-can-eat style we now know and love.  And while the days of a $1.99 breakfast buffet full of stale and hardly edible foods are mostly (and thankfully) all gone, one buffet has dramatically upped the ante: Wicked Spoon.
Wicked Spoon, located in the über hip and chic Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Hotel, is not your typical buffet. The ambiance of the buffet falls short of fine dining, but only in the most stylish and relaxing ways. Dramatic lighting, dark woods, and impressive glass art features fill the dining hall, setting a sophisticated tone for the rest of your meal.
The service at Wicked Spoon is top notch. Although you still have to retrieve your own food the old-fashioned buffet way, the staff on hand makes sure that tables are consistently cleared, that your beverages are kept full, and that you feel personally taken care of.
And the food. Oh the food.
The range of choices is vast, only matched by the incredible quality that you will find in each ingredient. Everything at the buffet is served as fresh as it can be, with small plates and miniature portions guaranteeing you get the best, freshest food at any given time. Here are a few of my favorites:
  • The selection of artisan cheeses and crackers
  • The macaroni and cheese bar (I recommend asking the chef for his favorite combination – I have been craving this taste combination of multiple cheeses and bacon since I left)
  • Over the top good calzones (Noticing a trend? I love cheese!)
  • A surprisingly tasty garlic soup
  • The diverse salad options
  • Bone Marrow! (need I say more?)
  • Tasty & flaky fish
  • Chinese takeout (in cute boxes)
  • The fresh to order taco bar
  • GELATO
Buffet prices for dinner are about $40. Bottomless wine is also offered and is well worth the addition.
