From posh and hip, to easy and budget friendly, here's a rundown of San Diego's best shopping. Budget planning tip: Find Cheap Flights to San Diego and keep some of the cash for your shopping spree! Horton Plaza Right in downtown San Diego, Westfield's Horton Plaza is diverse five-story mall boasting unique multi-level architecture surrounding an inner courtyard. Anchored by Macy's and Nordstrom, Horton Plaza offers a wide range of stores and a food court to grab a bite to eat. A beautiful public space, the Horton Plaza Park, will open for community events and celebrations in 2014. Fashion Valley Mall This sprawling and beautiful mega mall features more than 200 stores, including major department stores like Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy's, Bloomingdale's, and JC Penny. Although you might want to splurge on a stop into Tiffany & Co., Gucci, or Louis Vuitton, your kids will enjoy a trip to the Disney store. A children's play area outside the Gap Kids store is also a great distraction. Take in a movie at the theater or grab a bite to eat at one of many restaurants including a fantastic outdoor patio food court and a Stacked Well Built, Cheesecake Factory, and California Pizza Kitchen. Seaport Village This charming shopping district located right on the bay offers shoppers the chance to enjoy quaint cobblestone streets, outdoor treats, a carousel, and plenty of dining options from casual food-court fare to fine dining oceanfront restaurants. La Jolla Known for its upscale boutiques, unique independently owned shoppes, and luxury chains, the La Jolla Village features a variety of specialty shops amid its downtown streets. Instead of walking a mall, walk the streets of this adorable little town and enjoy the great shopping scene. Outlet Malls Three giant outlet malls offer budget-seekers a thrill. The Carlsbad Premium Outlets feature 90 different stores including Barneys, Crate & Barrel, Michael Kors, and Polo Ralph Lauren. The Las Americas Premium Outlets, located literally just a stone's throw from the Mexico border, boasts 125 stores including Adidas, Gap, J. Crew, and Kenneth Cole. The open air Viejas Outlet Center, located in East County offers not only 60 great outlet stores, but also a beautiful waterfall that the kids will love!
