No stranger to extravagance, Las Vegas seems to outdo itself with each passing holiday. There will be no exception this week as Sin City rings in the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Dragon in grandiose fashion.

 

Stealing the show is The Palazzo Las Vegas which has unveiled a must-see-to-be-believed, 8,000 pound, fire-breathing dragon ahead of the annual Chinese celebration. The 128-foot-long sculpture reportedly took more than 13 months to create.

 

Now through February 5, visitors arriving on flights to Las Vegas can take in the mammoth creation for themselves at the Palazzo’s Waterfall and Atrium Gardens. Those not lucky enough to a glimpse this spectacle in person can get a behind-the-scenes look at its creation in the video above.
