What happens in Vegas? Apparently not much. A new study released today by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority revealed that 80 percent of Sin City's tourists are married and middle-aged.

That's right, almost 80 percent are hitched with the average age being 49 according to the 2010 edition of the annual survey. Other details about Vegas visitors in 2010? More than one-fourth were retired and 71 percent were at least 40.

These numbers are not new either, as despite the flashy marketing that includes clubbing, strippers and bachelor parties, most tourists are probably members of AARP.

Besides the age of visitors in 2010, another interesting result from the survey revealed less and less people are willing to gamble away their hard earned cash.

Since 2006, the number of people who say they come to Vegas for gambling has dropped by 7 percent. While that still means 80 percent arrive to the desert to drop hard earned money, it's interesting to see people spending less at the tables. This number has dropped continuously since the economic meltdown in 2008.
