Family Travel: Dining as a Family in Vancouver CheapOair Staff October 31, 2013 Family Travel, Interests Having your kids in tow doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the world class food offerings in beautiful;Vancouver. Here are a few of my favorites: Best for adventurous eating: The World's Best Street Eats Tour Take the two hour walking tour with your little ones to sample some of the most unique and tasty street food offerings in Vancouver. From world-famous JapaDog to a kid-friendly spicy diablo chocolate cookie, encourage your kids to take a few risks and venture out to try something new. Read my full review of the;World’s Best Street Eats Tour Best for plenty of options: Public Market on Granville Island I love taking my family to food courts because everyone can typically find something they are craving. Couple that with the fun and relaxed atmosphere on Granville Island, add in 30 unique dining options, all made by local companies (no chains here!), and you've got the best food court ever imagined. Best for a kid-inclusive date night: Rocky Mountain Flatbread Just because you are on vacation doesn't mean you can't have a date night. Head to Rocky Mountain Flatbread for an amazing lineup of tasty pizzas, salads, fab wines, and entrees coupled with an interactive play area, a visible working pizza kitchen, and even the chance to send your little ones inside to make their own pizza creations while you enjoy a mini-date! Check out my full review of fabulous;Rocky Mountain Flatbread Best for a special splurge: Hawksworth Restaurant Although little ones might get a few cranky eyes, your older kids deserve a vacation dining splurge– and your taste buds will rejoice. Snag a table at the uber hip Hawksworth Restaurant downtown. Best place to grab a beer: Steamworks Brewing Company Many of the area pubs have a strict no kids policy making it hard to find a large selection of brews that you crave. At Steamworks, you can can enjoy eight brews crafted on site by steam power, in addition to a diverse lineup of other selections. There isn't an official kids menu here, but the staff made plenty of recommendations (and offered discounts) for our little ones. Ready to take the family on an adventure?
