Autopsy Reveals SeaWorld Trainer Died of Trauma, Drowning CheapOair Staff April 1, 2010 general SeaWorld Orlando trainer autopsy revealed An autopsy revealed Wednesday that a SeaWorld Orlando trainer died due to blunt-force trauma to her neck, head and torso after being attacked by a killer whale on February 24. The Associated Press reports that the official cause of death was deemed as drowning and traumatic injuries. The whale grabbed 40-year old Dawn Brancheau by her hair and pulled her into the pool in front of a terrified audience. SeaWorld Orlando had no comment on the autopsy report and has since stated it would not be punishing Tilikum the whale for its actions. The whale however has been removed from its daily show and away from trainers until a further investigation is completed. This is the third time that the whale was involved in the death of somebody at the SeaWorld Orlando park. Source: Associated Press
