The Court of Appeal sided with BA on Wednesday, stating the company's changes were reasonable and did not breach any contracts. In a statement to the Associated Press regarding the changes, British Airways said they have made a "substantial contribution toward easing the company's financial position." The airline last month reported its first half-year profit in two years. BA and Unite union, which represents roughly 12,000 cabin crew workers, have been battling battling back and forth for nearly two years over a new contract. The union is angry over the pay and working conditions as well as the travel perks that were taken away from certain workers that went on strike earlier this year. Both sides continue to meet in order to come up with a deal that will suite both sides.
