US Airways Introducing Nonstop Charlotte to Rome Route CheapOair Staff May 13, 2010 general US Airways offers Charlotte-Rome flights US Airways will start offering nonstop flights from its hub in Charlotte, North Carolina to Rome, Italy beginning today May 13. US Airways Senior Vice President, Airport Customer Service, International and Cargo Operations Suzanne Boda said, "All roads lead to Rome and US Airways is excited to offer a direct path from Charlotte to the 'Capital of the World.' The once daily offering will depart from Charlotte at 6:15pm each night and arrive in the Eternal City the next morning at 9:30am. Flights departing Rome will lift off at 11:05am and arrive back in the U.S. at 3:55pm. Charlotte Douglas International Airport is US Airways' largest hub by far, so it only makes sense to add this popular route. The Phoenix based airline already offers a Rome flight from their international gateway in Philadelphia. Source: US Airways
