Petronas Towers in Malaysia

The Petronas Towers located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was the world’s tallest building from 1998 to 2004. It was dethroned by Taipei, which was then surpassed by Burj Khalifa.

It is still however the world’s tallest twin towers, with each structure measuring nearly 1,500 feet in height a piece.

Don’t worry if you have an appointment and wind up wandering into the wrong building as there is a sky-bridge on the 41st and 42nd floor that connect towers one and two.

Believe it or not, the sky-bridge is not attached to the Petronas Towers structure. Instead architects built it to slide in and out of the towers in order to prevent it from cracking or falling apart during harsh weather conditions.

Underneath the towers is KLCC park which offers guests walking paths, children’s playground, a fountain with light show, a wading pool and one of the largest shopping malls in Malaysia.
