iPad Services Accessible In-Flight CheapOair Staff May 15, 2010 general Passengers can download movies, games, and more! Bluebox Avionics, dubbed Bluebox Ai, a company that provides in-flight entertainment products to airlines, announced this week that it will begin services on Apple’s iPad in July. The company’s in-flight entertainment will run on iPads while travelers are flying. Passengers will be able to watch “first run” films, play games, read e-books, and even gamble! They’ll also be able to access Apple’s App Store and download applications. Bluebox Ai’s service streams content to the iPad wirelessly based on what the traveler chooses to view. The software is secure enough for travelers to be able to view content through out the entire flight, rather than at specified times for electronics. Source: cnet
