At a ceremony held in Bucharest today, TAROM Romanian Air Transport officially joined the SkyTeam global airline alliance. SkyTeam further strengthens its network reach in Central and Eastern Europe by welcoming TAROM.

SkyTeam celebrated its 10th anniversary on June 22nd and TAROM is the 13th carrier to join SkyTeam. The SkyTeam alliance brings TAROM vital opportunities for its future growth by providing access to a global network providing 898 destinations in 169 countries. 

Starting today, TAROM passengers have the opportunity to earn and cash in frequent flyer miles when flying on all services operated by SkyTeam member airlines. 

Members of other SkyTeam airlines’ frequent flyer programs may also earn and cash in miles when flying with TAROM.
