Continental Airlines offers travel waivers

Continental Airlines offers travel waivers due to NY area storm

At this point it seems like Mother Nature is just playing a really cruel joke on the East Coast.

Over the last 10 days two blizzards have blanketed most of New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and the metro Washington DC area with a third round of flurries expected to arrive late Monday night.

In light of yet another round of snow, Continental Airlines has announced it will provide travelers that are planning to fly into or out of Newark Liberty International Airport through Tuesday with travel waivers.

The popular decision has been happening each time the white stuff threatens to cause havoc on a city.

Most U.S. airlines have been smart this winter with offering these alternate travel vouchers in order to appease thousands of customers that would otherwise be stranded at the airport due to cancellations or delays.

Continental said Monday that if a flight has been canceled, passengers would be able to request a refund in the original form of payment.
