NYC subway to air MLB games

Sports fans riding the subway in the Big Apple are going to love this news. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is teaming up with TBS to offer taped highlights of Major League Baseball games.

According to an AP report, starting next month, the shuttle that runs between Times Square and Grand Central Terminal will offer the games that are sure to make a few strap-hangers happy while they're stuck underground.

The MTA will make advertising revenue from TBS by airing highlights of the previous day's playoff games.  According to MTA Chairman Jay Walder, this is the first time that video images will be displayed on subway screens.
