FAA Proposal to Give Airline Pilots Biggest Change in 20 Years, Flickr: markonen

 Changes Going to Come?

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a proposal Wednesday that would go more in-depth in simulator training for airline pilots.

It’s being called the biggest change to training requirements in the last 20 years.

A focal point in the training would be teaching pilots to recover from aerodynamic stalls, which occurs when a plane slows down too much and the wings can’t keep it aloft.

Another item on the proposal would be for airlines to pay close attention and monitor training failures and provide additional training if needed.

FAA said the airlines and others have until July 19 to add their opinions on the proposal.

There is no date for the proposal to get in to effect at this time.
