Airlines Have Best On-Time Performance in Six Years CheapOair Staff February 14, 2010 general 1 Comment On-time performances by U.S. airlines was at its best last year since 2003 according to an air travel consumer report released Friday the Transportation Department. With a report card of 79.5 percent, airlines have something to smile about with this news. This information can be useful to consumers, as most will try to avoid the carriers with the lowest grade while booking more flights with the overachievers. On top of the list was Hawaiian Airlines with 92 percent of its fleet arriving on time. This comes as no surprise, as the Aloha State airline typically sits atop this list each year. Another bit of notable news to come out of this report was that less luggage was lost in 2009 than any other year since 2002. Source: airconsumer.dot.gov Flickr: Simon_Sees
