An additional allotment of 2.3 million tickets is going to be available for purchase next Friday, June 24th, for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

1.7 of them will be for football matches, while the rest will be divvied among the other sports.

Tickets are still available for medal events in sports such as archery, basketball, table tennis, fencing, judo and synchronized swimming.

Applicants for Olympic tickets will learn within 24 to 48 if they’ve been approved.

Tickets are on a first come, first serve basis.
