Regarded as ‘the salmon capital of the world’, Ketchikan is the south-easternmost city in Alaska, US. Ketchikan is situated at the meeting place of three Native Alaskan cultures (Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian) and they are all hallmarked by totem poles of different types. The Totem Bight State Historical Park is a 33-acre state park in Ketchikan that has a collection of totem poles and a replica of a traditional chieftain's house called Clan House. The latter is made of Western Red Cedar wood and has a stylish facade and an oval entrance that leads to a square chamber inside. Also of note is a breathtaking view of the ocean and Alaska mainland from the park.
