Basilica of Bom JesusThe Basilica of Bom Jesus is also referred to as the Old Goa Church. The church is the finest example of Baroque architecture in Goa. The church is dedicated to “Bom Jesus" (meaning good Jesus or infant Jesus). The facade has been carved out of black granite with the combination of the Doric, Corinthian, and composite styles. The interior of the church has been constructed in the Mosaico-Corinthian style. Within the church are two chapels, a main altar, and a sacristy besides a choir.

Aguada FortConstructed in between 1609-12, Aguada Fort is the largest and the best preserved Portuguese fortification in the State of Goa. The purpose behind its construction was to protect Old Goa from potential enemy attacks and to control the entry into the Mandovi River. The walls of the fort are nearly 5 meters high and 1.3 meters wide. Within the fort stands a four storey Portuguese lighthouse.
