Places of Interest in Cochabamba A city in central Bolivia, Cochabamba is located in the Cochabamba Valley in the Andes mountain range. Cristo de la Concordia Located atop the San Pedro Hill, Cristo de la Concordia is the tallest statue of its kind in the world. This statue is a bit taller than that of Rio de Janeiro and offers a panoramic view of the city. The construction of this statue was carried out by the Catholic Church. Cristo de la Concordia features immense concrete structure with extended arms representing the hospitality of the native peoples.
National Park Carrasco An excell4ent place to visit for nature lovers, National Park Carrasco boasts incredible cloud forests, lovely mountain landscape, exuberant vegetation, deep valleys and canyons, waterfalls, and torrential rivers. Some of the main attractions of the park include the Repechon Caverns, the wildlife sanctuary, and a lot of other caves with a plethora of bats and birdlife. Located at east of the city, the park features about 3 species of larger plants and over 382 registered species of fauna.
National Park Tunari Located at the west of Cochabamba, National Park Tunari features 4, hectares of green area and several lakes providing most of the water of the city. The topography of the park is mountainous containing semi-wet flatlands that are characterized by belts of trees, sloped scrublands, and bushes. Till now, 23 species of birds, 13 mammal species, 2 amphibian species, and 2 reptile species have been registered in the park.
