The Millennium ParkThe Millennium Park is the largest public park of Abuja. It is located near the former Presidential Palace and was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003. It is neatly divided into two parts by a river, with one side depicting Nigeria's deciduous forests, rainforests and greenhouses for butterflies and tropical birds. The other side is built in a superb Italian Garden style and is concerned with the scientific aspect of this environment. Other attractions in this iconic park include a series of fountains and a number of multicolored bushes that go along in a wave-like manner.
