Conciergerie
The Conciergerie was initially a royal palace. With the Salle des Gens d'Armes (Hall of People Weapons), the Salle des Gardes (Guard Rooms), and the kitchens, the monument is a remarkable testimony to the civil architecture of the 14th century. It served as the prison (mostly lower part) during French Revolution. Here, one can visit the dungeons and find out relive the memories of the French Revolution. At present the Conciergerie is generally used for law courts.
