Things to do in to Hyderabad
Golkonda Fort
Golkonda Fort (rather, ‘Golla Konda’ meaning Shepherd’s Hill) is a citadel and fort situated around 11 kilometers away from Hyderabad. It was the capital of the medieval sultanate called the Qutb Shahi dynasty (1518-1687). This fort is home to a fantastic setup of state-of-the-art acoustics, ornate interiors and inventive water supply system. The region around it is famous for several mines that have produced some of the world's best known gems like the legendary Koh-i-Noor.
Chowmahalla Palace
Chowmahalla Palace (literally, Four Palaces) was the administrative seat of the Asaf Jahi dynasty and official residence of the former Nizams of Hyderabad. It is still the property of the heir of the Nizams. The palace is a delightful work of late 19th century art and artisanship, both inside and outside. An example of the same can be seen in its Watch Tower gate that leads to the 'Takht-e-Nishan' (or royal seat) atop a marble platform- the place where the emperor used to sit and hold his court. One can also see the vintage car collection of the Nizams in the palace that includes cars like Rolls Royce.
Ramoji Film City
The Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad holds the Guinness World Record for being the world’s largest studio complex. It also doubles up as the largest integrated film city in Telangana. Established by Ramoji Group in 1996, it is the numero uno attraction for all movie buffs in Hyderabad and also comprises a recreation centre and an amusement park.
