Universidad de Santo Tomas (or the University of Saint Thomas)
Built by the Spanish during 1610s, the University of Saint Thomas is the oldest existing university in the Far East and only the second to be founded in the Philippines. It was used as a concentration camp by the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second World War. The university is famous for its late 17th century collection comprising coins, medals, ethnographic materials and Catholic iconography.

Originally founded in 1720, San Agustin Church in Manila stands as the third Augustinian church erected on the same site. It flaunts near-perfect symmetry and ornate interiors. This church was used as a concentration camp during the Second World War by Imperial Japanese soldiers.
Palacio de Malacanan (or Malacanang Palace)
The Malacanang Palace hosts the official residence and principal workplace of the President of the Philippines. Located in Manila, the palace is one of a series of royal buildings built in Spanish colonial and Neo-classical style, and was built as a summer house in 1750.
