Spirit Airlines has announced to add daily, year-round nonstop service from Philadelphia to San Juan starting 23 May 2019. With this service, the airline is the third air carrier to serve Puerto Rico from Philadelphia. Spirit Airlines has scheduled to begin this service three weeks after it will start seasonal flights to New Orleans. In December, the airline has also added seasonal nonstop service from Philadelphia to Tampa and Fort Meyers.
