Some of the houses concentrated on the families that lived here, while others show how the constructions were done in the era, with cutaway displays and exhibits of tools, decorative details, and materials.
Market Square
Market Square is an open space framed by the imposing North Church. The square boasts distinguished brick buildings including the Portsmouth Athenaeum. Market Square is also an excellent place for shopping as there are lots of specialty shops, boutiques, and galleries of fine arts and decorative works by local craftsmen. Above the waterfront end of the shopping district is the famous Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel with rooms overlooking the harbor.
Prescott Park

The park organizes The Prescott Park Arts Festival bringing music and theater performances every summer.
