Explore Seattle

Seattle is a seaport city in the US State of Washington. This largest city in the state is also amongst fastest growing cities of the country. With an espresso bar on almost every corner, Seattle is known as the "Coffee Capital" of the United States. The city is surrounded by an ice pyramid of Mount Rainier National Park in the eastern side and snow-capped peaks of Olympic National Park in the west. Seattle is home to various attractions, parks, and beaches. The Seattle Center, Seattle Art Museum, Pioneer Square, Benaroya Hall, and Central Public Library are amongst some of the worth visiting attractions.

Things to Do in Seattle

Pike Place Market

The Pike Place Market is a public market in the heart of the city. This downtown public market has been in business since 1907. It’s a year-round farmers market and a visual riot of vegetable, seafood, cheese and flower stalls along with handicrafts and tourist-friendly knick-knacks. And, of course, the flying fish. For less crowd, take the stairs to “Down Under,” a wood-floored maze of small shops beneath the main-level market. And walk into the shops and stalls across the street from the main market, including “the original” Starbucks (moved here after nearly five years of its opening in 1971, but retains its vintage look).

Olympic Sculpture Park

At the Olympic Sculpture Park, visitors can capture wonderful views of the city, harbor, and mountains. And it’s free. This outdoor sculpture garden is spreads over approximately 9 acres of area. Here one can see various artwork including Alexander Calder’s “Eagle,” and six tons of red-painted steel that looks like an abstract soaring bird. For a longer lovely walk, stroll along the 1.2-miles of waterfront path in the nearby Myrtle Edwards Park.

Seattle Ballooning

Get a birds-eye view of downtown Seattle and Mt. Rainier from aboard one of Seattle Ballooning’s beautiful hot air balloons. Book a semi-private or private flight depending upon the occasion and indulge in one of the most memorable experience. End of the flight is celebrated in a traditional French style: with a champagne toast, fresh-baked croissants, triple-cream brie, and organic strawberries.

Best Time to Fly to Seattle

The best time to visit the city of Seattle are the months of September and October. Apart from this, spring season is also good to plan a trip here as weather is warm with some rain and cool breeze. Do remember to pack appropriate cloths to battle chilly winds and ever-present drizzle. Avoid summers, as it is the peak season here.

CheapOair Customer Reviews

Eugene OR

My trip was planned perfectly, from flight to accommodations. I'll be visiting again in the Spring and using CheapOair to plan again. Very satisfied! - Steven  Dec 12, 2024

Greece Getaway

My first experience with CheapOair was very good! The reservations made to fly to Greece had smooth connections at each airport. I was hoping for the ability to watch the reservation price and adjust it as the trip got closer, but once I locked in my reservation, the price couldn’t be changed. Text messages from them were clear and kept me informed on the flight plan! I would rate this experience as very good. - Bette  Dec 01, 2024
