Museo de Antioquia (Museum of Antioquia)
The Museum of Antioquia is a world-glass art museum in Medellin. It was the first museum in Antioquia department and the second in Colombia. The museum has an excellent collection of artworks by local artists, besides 17 rooms full of artifacts of pre-Columbian and colonial era and several 19th century painting and photographs.
Arvi Park
The Arví Park is a popular ecological nature preserve and a pre-Hispanic archeological site spread across many municipalities including Medellin. It features dense forests and walkable trails that run along strands of wildflowers and rare plant species.
Parque de Bolivar (Park of Bolivar)
The Park of Bolivar is an urban park in Medellin. It named in honor of national hero Simon Bolivar and was inaugurated in 1892. This park features a nearly 100-year-old statue of Bolivar. Visitors can best visit the park to attend a traditional Sunday open-air concert on the first three Sundays of every month.
