The Victory Park is a beautiful city park in Stockton. It is a delightful spread of nearly 22 acres of lush greenery mainly comprising of palm trees and a rose garden. There are also 2 duck ponds, alongside which one can feed the ducks or take out some time to play tennis. The Victory Park is flanked by the city’s famous art museum called the Haggin Museum.
Bob Hope Theatre
The Bob Hope Theatre in Stockton was one of the two most premier theatres of its times. Its mosaic flooring was made from marbles flown in from Italy and it also flaunts some superb Art Deco stylized decorations on the ceiling. Bob Hope Theatre’s interiors translate into a beautiful round lobby and a classic staircase, and all the balcony seats were restored and appended with a small plaque telling the name of its donor.
Haggin Museum
The Haggin Museum is the most famous art museum and local history museum in Stockton. Opened in 1931, this alpha grade art facility is home to several classic paintings, old photographs, and historical artifacts and letters. This museum also has the largest regional collection of Albert Bierstadt paintings and illustrations by J. C. Leyendecker. Visitors can visit the museum’s library for its remarkable collection of library of almost 10000 volumes on different subjects.
