Bannerghatta National Park
Located in proximity to Bangalore, Bannerghatta National Park was founded in 1970 and was declared as a national park in 1974. The park is also home to a zoo, an animal rescue center, a pet corner, an aquarium, a butterfly enclosure, a safari park, and a snake house. Bannerghatta National Park is also a destination for hiking and trekking. The park is home to a number of fauna species such as elephants, Indian gazelle, wild boar, python, spotted deer, gaur, pangolin, Asiatic lion, common langur, and more.
Cubbon Park
A landmark 'lung' area of Bangalore, Cubbon Park is located within the heart of the city. The park is accessible from M.G. Road, Ambedkar Veedhi, Kasturba Road, and Hudson Circle. It is officially known as Sri. Chamarajendra Park and is home to the Vidhan Soudha, the State Library, and the Attara Kacheri. The park is an excellent place to walk in the midst of natural beauty. There are numbers of statues of famous personalities located in Cubbon Park. Some of the major things to do in Cubbon Park are relaxing, museum tour, toy train ride, aquarium visit, and enjoying long walks.
Iskon Temples
Bangalore has two ISKCON Temples i.e. Sri Sudarshana Narasimha Temple and ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Temple. These two temples boast a significant place in the travel and tourism in the city as they attract devotees from all over the world. These temples have Lord Krishna as their presiding deity and are not-to-be-missed places to visit while one is in Bangalore, especially for the serenity seekers. ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Temple is located at Hare Krishna Hill in Rajaji Nagar and Sri Sudarshana Narasimha Temple is at Vaikuntha Hill on Kanakapura Road.
Best Time to Fly to Bangalore
The best time to visit Bangalore, weather-wise, is during winters i.e. the months from October to February. During these months, the temperatures remain low and the weather remains soothing for sightseeing.
