Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport is the primary airport serving Detroit and Michigan. Located about 23 miles away from Detroit, it serves scheduled flights to several major domestic and international destinations. Travelers can avail seamless connectivity between the city and airport through a well-rounded network of rental cars, luxury sedans, taxis, public transit services, shuttles, ride sharing and car rentals services. Coleman A. Young International Airport is located six miles northeast of downtown Detroit, but it has no scheduled passenger airline service now.

Chennai (formerly known as Madras) is the capital of the southern state of Tamil Nadu in India. Marina Beach
The 7.45 mile long Marina Beach in Chennai is the second longest urban beach in the world. Its shoreline is dotted with several buildings dating back to British Colonial times, and comes to life during evenings and weekends. Visitors to this beach are advised to try local delicacies snacks like crispy ‘sundal’ (made of boiled and spiced lentils) and Murukku (dry noodles). The Marina Beach is also a good place for watching sunrise because of its beauty and lesser crowds on early mornings.
Kapaleeswarar Temple (or Kapaleeshwara)
Kapaleeswarar Temple is one of Chennai's oldest and best-known temples. This Dravidian architecture masterpiece dates back to the 8th century though it was subsequently built over until 17th century. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati and is known as Karpagambal (Tamil term for the ‘Goddess of the Wish-Yielding Tree’). The temple features a 121 feet high entrance gate called gopuram and it is best to visit here in January for the Thaipusam festival.
Parthasarathy Temple
The Parthasarathy Temple is considered be the oldest temple in the Chennai and origins date back to the 8th century AD by the Pallava dynasty. Dedicated to Lord Krishna, the temple derives its name from two Sanskrit words Partha (meaning Arjuna) and Sarathy (meaning the Charioteer or Lord Krishna) the temple houses five incarnations of Lord Vishnu, and also has idols of Lord Venkatakrishnaswami and Ranganathar.
Best Time to fly to Chennai
The best time to fly Chennai is the winter season from November to February when the city is comfortably placed between 20 and 25 degree Celsius and gets cool sea breezes throughout the day. Chennai also celebrates Pongal, its festival of local music and dance culture during this time. If you have some budget considerations, you can visit Chennai in the summer season. While the summers are very hot and humid at over 40 degree Celsius every day, you can still beat it with discounted hotel and flights rates.
