Intramuros
Also called the Walled City, Intramuros is a historic walled area spread across 0.26 square miles in Manila. The fortification is credited to the Spanish colonial government who had done it to protect the city from foreign invasions. It was equivalent to the city itself during the Spanish Colonial Period (1521 AD to 1898 AD), and was the focal point of religion and education. Visitors can appreciate the historical and martial value of Intramuros and visit some early 17th centuries here like the University of Santo Tomas (1611) and Colegio de San Juan de Letran (1620).
Manila Ocean Park
The Manila Ocean Park is a state-of-the-art privately-owned oceanarium in Manila. It is home to 14000 sea creatures across more than 275 indigenous species. These marine species are segregated across 7 sections in 3000 cubic meters of sea water.
Rizal Park
Rizal Park (also known as the Luneta) is a popular urban park situated a little distance away from the Intramuros. It consists of the national museums, several bayside restaurants, an open-air theater for featuring free classical music concerts, a planetarium and a mix of Japanese, Chinese, Filipino gardens.
