Atlanta is served by two airports. They are Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and DeKalb-Peachtree Airport. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport also known as the Atlanta Airport or Hartsfield-Jackson is located 7 miles away from Atlanta's central business district. Things to do in Hyderabad
Charminar
Charminar (literally ‘four minarets’) is the icon of Hyderabad. This grand structure was built to signify the place where the city’s founder, emperor Quli Qutb Shah had prayed to the God to end a rampant epidemic in his kingdom. Each of Charminar’s four towers rises to a height of 48.7 and comprises 140 steps. This iconic monument is also a fusion of Hindu and Muslim brotherhood because it contains a mosque in the upper storey and a temple at the ground floor of a minaret.
Birla Mandir
Birla Mandir is a prominent Hindu temple in Hyderabad. Built on a 280 feet high hillock and spread across 13 acres, this temple is one among many in the nationwide series of temples by Birla Foundation. It was built using 2000 tons of pure white marble in a classic mix of Dravidian, Rajasthani and Utkala architectural styles. The Birla Mandir is famous for its 11 feet tall granite idol of Lord Venkateswara and is flanked by a 42 feet high brass flagstaff.
Lumbini Park
The Lumbini Park is an urban public spread across 7.5 acres near Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad. It is named after the place called Lumbini in Nepal where Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhism was born. This park offers an arterial access to all other tourist attractions in the city and is a popular place for boating around a large statue of Lord Buddha. At this park, visitors can enjoy a multimedia fountain show comprising of laser animations, live audio visual experiences and rhythmic musical fountains.
Best Time to fly to Hyderabad
The best period to fly to Hyderabad is the winter and spring seasons that together run from late November and March. During this period, the temperature ranges between 20 to 35 deg C which is best suited for shopping and sightseeing. Those on a budget can plan a visit here in summer season between April & July. But note that during this period, the city experiences high heat and the temperature may well reach up to 40 deg C.
