Major Highways In Shreveport- Interstate 20 is a 1,535-mile east-west highway that stretches from Texas to South Carolina. It cuts through northern Louisiana, connecting Shreveport to Dallas in the west and Atlanta in the east.
- Interstate 49 runs south from Shreveport and takes you past the charming town of Natchitoches, known for its Cane River National Heritage Area, full of Creole architecture and scenic plantations. Farther south, I-49 reaches Alexandria and eventually terminates in Lafayette.
